CONGRATULATIONS TO JOHN AND SARAH at this years GSURC Presentations!
Dear All,
First, I want to congratulate those 13 nominatees for participating in the 6th GSURC Artistic Presentation.
They all did a wonderful job during the presentation, President Baker, Provost, Associate Dean, Director of the School of Art and Design, judges, and all the faculty members were so impressed by their studio research projects.
Secondly, from the luncheon award announcement, students from the School of Art and Design won Provost's award (Art History student) and the first place of poster presentation (Interior Design student), congratulate to the faculty sponsors Kimberly Cleveland and Michael White. And also big congratulation to the School of Art and Design, we did great this year at the 6th GSURC.
Thirdly, I want to announce the awards here based on the judge's list for the second place (with 100 USD award), third place (with 100 USD), and two distinguished mentions.
It was a very hard decision for the judge, but the judge provided me the list as indicated below:

Distinguish Mention: Miracle Mosley, Flying Fish M. from Art Education, Faculty Sponsor: Dr. Kevin Hsieh
Distinguish Mention: Brian McLean, Encapsulated, from Sculpture, Faculty Sponsor: Ruth Stanford
Again, I want to congratulate all of you and thank you for all the hard work. I also want to say think you to all the faculty members who are working closely with all the great students we have in the School of Art and Design.
